This Fish Charm takes me back to when I was managing a travel agency... Back then, Africa had this "magical pull" with several customers; I could count on them for their annual trips to Kenya! This is #3 project for the November Pincushion Show. The pattern is from Fat Quarters Shop.  Their pattern is made with a 10" square. Mine is a mini version, using a 6" square. I found  two great pieces of older furniture.  I'm thinking these will be used for craft shows. I love this table, it has a leaf in the middle and also extends on one side. This hutch is in great shape; looks like it came straight from a boutique. Color: Marigold Hubby got them cleaned up and brought inside, just before the bad weather arrived (epic wind storm).

Easy to make! (You might want to add trim to your apron too, so please read all the way through the post before starting yours.) This is done with 2 tea towels.  Slicing one towel in half (lengthwise), to add to the top and bottom of apron. (Tip: the open weave towel required zigzag stitches before taking the rotary cutter to it.) Prairie Points done this way? Place right sides together, what ever size triangle size you're working with.  These are 3" squares. Sew around the edge and cut diagonally. If I'm careful about handling them, I can turn and press them and get them in place to applique down without any problems. ....maybe you were doing it this way all along and didn't share it with me!

Have to take advantage of the nice weather we've been given! So,we criss-crossed the Columbia with a nice drive, stopping for walking trails. The last of the berry crop and I'm happy to share with anyone visiting. The Orange Amana is still the showy tomato. Thank goodness our neighbors grew tomatoes, we skipped out this year. I had a wonderful day, combining pretty fabrics, trims and applique. This is a great pattern for soft cottons.  Just the right size for a lunch date or... afternoon by the lake. The true test! My model says its the prettiest bag ever. Good to hear!  New bags being crafted for those are shopping for one-of-a-kind gifts.
