Vintage-Style Bag - Love Notes

I had a wonderful day, combining pretty fabrics, trims and applique.
This is a great pattern for soft cottons.

Just the right size for a lunch date or...
afternoon by the lake.

The true test!
My model says its the prettiest bag ever.

Good to hear! New bags being crafted for those are shopping for one-of-a-kind gifts.

Market Fish

This Longia Miller design has been very good to me. After making a few, I re-worked the pattern to give the face more structure, Now and then, I have added some extra features to the pattern just to keep it fresh. "Fresh-fish"...hahaha! Moving on... All the Market Fish have been hand-quilted. Yes-yes, I know, it's "quilt insanity", but it works - many of the fish have been sold for something other than a Cat Bed, so I make these as "gifty" as possible. Enjoy looking at some of the fabrics that I've used!

After years of sewing Market Fish, I received a vision of a very eclectic Fish... it has been my wish to craft something from my own design, and I'm incredibly happy that it's going to be the Fish Charm! These "artsy" fish will have several interesting details; each will have a touch of crazy quilting (something that I've been learning from Nickilee). Crazy Quilting "equals" embellishments, so there will be plenty of ribbons, laces and beads! I am also interested in Color Meaning, so look for Charms to be in a range of colors; celebrating energy, soothing the spirit or maybe even just being whimsy!
...As I was enjoying a recent walk, I was thinking intently about the Fish Charms... I heard a little voice whisper to me, "You make fish with heart"! That made me smile and I've been excited about this project ever since.
