One Fish, Two Fish........

Red Fish, Blue Fish!
.....keeps me busy!

Eclectic Blue

......a portion of pincushions made up this week.

A Bit of Sharing.......

I mentioned that the LQS has a section of back issues of quilting
magazines! These two came home with me.

Nearly every project in this
Quilting Arts', is something I'd like
to make for Christmas gifts.

I sketched out a Tea Ceremony applique Twilt today from this Asian Fabric magazine.
Enjoying the Moon in the Window and Happiness Scroll quilts......

.....what a sweet picture!
I noticed that in every issue that
I went through of Asian Fabric,
they include beautiful recipes and
little tid-bits of Asian culture.

From the library, this is a great book, covering:
* Design
* Study
* Exploration
* Exercises

"Creative people are curious, flexible, persistent, and independent, with a tremendous spirit of adventure and a love of play"  ~ Henri Matisse

  1. Jessica, the magazines look like they have some wonderful projects. Something is so attracting about Asian fabrics. Your pincushions are cute too, hope you sell them all.

  2. Hi Kathy!

    The Quilting Arts issue was one that I had the store put away for me, so glad I did, the other copies were gone when I came back! There's a quilted hanging bag,inspired by the tribal hanging bags of India - the project has been in my mind for a year! It will make a perfect gift for the Knitter. And, Sue Bleiweiss' 3-D Teapot is something fun try!
    The Asian Fabric magazines were all beautiful, I had a hard time choosing! I agree, the fabrics are basically....jewels!
