  1. So cute, Jess! How about some clown fish next?

  2. Yes! Some puffy-cheeked clown fish!

I've drawn up a sketch of a seahorse, have a little more work on the pattern before I cut out fabric.

Last year I had 2 requests for a mermaid....I'm really close to seeing that happen now!!
I had Miss L model for me (I want a mermaid holding a bowl of shells)- that sketch is in one of my drawing books.

...I think I'm going down a different path this year than I planned!

  5. Thank You Kathy!

I've borrowed another great book from the library. Last night I worked on the Square Boss and Fan stitch. In the book, the fan stitch is shown as a bonsai plant, very inspirational...something that would be pretty on a quilt block (or a bigger fish!). I put a few fans on the little fish, they look like wispy dandelions.

I added the pincushion picture while you weren't looking! hehe!
The flower petals are being put to work!

    Birthday Blessings!
